-
- The NIV Bible Promises Door is a simple program that allows the caller to
- select from 35 different catagories and view bible verses pertaining to
- the chosen catagory in NIV (New International Version) format. The NIVBD10
- archive should contain these 41 files:
-
- SYSOP.DOC - this documentation
- NIVBP.EXE - Door executable file
- NIVBP.CFG - Sample configuration file
- BP1-BP35 - Bible verses database
- MEGATECH.LST - Listing of other MegaTech doors
- FILE_ID.DIZ - File discription
- DORINFO1.DEF - drop file for testing locally
-
- SETUP
-
- First extract the NIV Bible Promise Door archive into your door directory
- (ie: C:\BBS\DOORS\NIVBP). NIVBP.CFG is an ASCII file that may be edited with any
- ascii editor to reflect your BBS parameters. The format is as follows:
-
- C:\BBS\DORINFO1.DEF - Complete path and filename to your BBS dropfile
- 9 are supported and listed below!
- The Midnight Caller - Your BBS name
- John - SysOp's first name
- Craven - SysOp's last name
-
- To test NIV Bible Promises Door in local mode, change the first line of the
- configuration file to read the dorinfo1.def file included with the archive
- (ie: C:\BBS\DOORS\NIVBP\DORINFO1.DEF) and call NIVBP NIVBP.CFG!
-
- NIV Bible Promises Door supports the following BBS dropfiles:
-
- DORINFOx.DEF - For RA/QBBS/RBBS (replace x with node #)
- PDBOARD.SYS - For PCBoard systems using PCBOARD.SYS only
- USERS.SYS - For PCBoard systems using USERS.SYS
- CALLINFO.BBS - For Wildcat! systems prior to v3.2
- CHAIN.TXT - For WWIV systems
- SFDOORS.DAT - For Spitfire systems
- DOOR.SYS - For systems that support DOOR.SYS in standard 52 line GAP format
- USERINFO.DAT - For Wildcat! 3.x+ systems
- GTUSER.BBS - For GT Power systems
-
- Call the door with your door batch file and pass the config file on the command
- line.
-
- ie: CD\DOORS\NIVBP
- NIVBP NIVBP.CFG
- CD\BBS
- BBS
-
- Bible Verse Extractor also supports non-standard com port setups. COM 1-4 on the
- standard IRQ's - COM1/COM3=IRQ4 and COM2/COM4=IRQ3. If you want to use a
- non-standard IRQ, add the IRQ number after the configuration file name.
- If you wanted to use COM1 and IRQ5 the command line would be:
- BVE BVE.CFG /5. NO /x parameter is needed for standard IRQ's!
-
- That's all there is to it!
